Filmad tillbakablick för återresan

Vi har börjat återresan för Ägir med att också samla in information om hennes historia. Vi får förståelse för tidigare behov – och för framtida möjligheter. Det vi sett är att många minns henne, och har betytt mycket för dem, många har färdats med henne och också att hon haft flera olika funktioner – men alla har varit viktiga för det sociala livet på kusten.

Initialt var hon den enda transporten mellan fastland och öarna, för dem som inte hade egen båt, och för frakt, post och leveranser av olika slag för öbornas välbefinnande och service.

Många har åkt sin första båttur på Ägir på väg hem från BB, många har haft henne som skoltransport. Lite senare tog hon glada sommargäster och andra festande resenärer mellan Magasinet och Smögenbryggan.

I alla sammanhang har hon dock varit en mötesplats. En hub kan man säga för informationsutbyte, möten mellan människor, samverkan, relationer och säkert också affärer. Och många många är de (ni) som färdats med henne på olika sätt och ändamål över åren.

Nu har hon legat ur drift länge nog och vi verkar alltså för att hon först ska renoveras, för att sedan driftas igen. Och därmed återigen säkerställa transporter, flöden och en plats för möten.
